Background
Like many other racers, I got riding passed down to me from my dad. It didn’t take long for me to catch on, and after my first ride I was hooked. I rode around on my KTM 50 for about 4 years until I stepped up to a 65 and began racing. I raced motocross locally on my 65’s and 85’s for 2 years, until I switched my focus to off-road racing. In my first year of racing hare scrambles I won the D-22 championship in the Mini Senior class. From then on, I knew I had a future in racing. I dedicated my whole life to racing with the goal of becoming professional.
The next year my family and I traveled around racing the OMA National series. We focused on improving my skills and gaining national exposure, both of which I accomplished. After all was said and done, I won a national in Stillwater, OK and stayed consistently on the podium to claim third place for 2005 in the 85 12-13 class.
I moved up to big bikes in 2006 on a KTM 125. We raced locally to get my feet wet on the tougher courses and longer races. I ended up winning the D-22 Overall B enduro championship and the D-22 200 B hare scramble championship.
At the beginning of the 2007 season I fractured both of my feet, leaving me sidelined for a few months. I got back on the bike and felt much stronger and faster than before. I missed the first few rounds, but I finished the D-22 enduro series in 4th place on a YZ 250. The 2008 D-22 hare scramble season just came to an end; I finished 2 in 250 A and 5 overall, moving me up to the AA class in 2009.
Goals
My goal for 2009 is to overall the D-22 enduro and hare scramble series. I will be racing some OMA nationals and GNCCs, and my goal is to consistently win the 250 A class. While I am racing, I am also involved in cross country and weightlifting. My family and close friends all know me for my hard worth ethic and how much I am dedicated to training.
You can't win championships on your own, therefore I am asking for your support for the 2009 season. I feel that all my goals are within reach, but I will be training and working hard to achieve them.
My goal is to bring attention to your company and help increase sales by displaying your stickers and banners on my bikes, gear, trailer, vehicles, and in the pits. I will wear your clothing, spread your product by word-of-mouth, and promote myself and my sponsors in a responsible and professional manner. I always practice good sportsmanship and respect all my fellow competitors, never burning any bridges, and display a professional attitude and image in the pits. I have also been able to manage school and racing at the same time well, with a 3.8 GPA.
